Stephen Fry Tweets from a lift

STEPHEN Fry found himself trapped in a lift at London's Centrepoint - and gave fans a running commentary of his predicament over the internet.

 

The comedian was stranded for more than an hour on the 26th floor of the building with five other people at around 10pm, soon after hosting a lecture on technology at the Apple Store in Regent Street.

 

And he passed the time by posting regular updates on social blogging website Twitter, where more than 113,000 fans follow his every word.

 

The host of BBC1 quiz show QI wrote: “Ok. This is now mad. I am stuck in a lift on the 26th floor of Centre Point. Hell's teeth. We could be here for hours. Arse, poo and widdle.”

 

Twenty minutes later he added: "This is getting boring. Morale still high. Hopes of early night dashed."

Posh's new tune cuts a dash

Victoria Beckham’s solo career may have left us with our fingers in our ears, but theBuzz can today reveal that a new track might give her more musical credibility.

Hip-hop mogul and producer Damon Dash gave the theBuzz an exclusive copy of the track, titled Put It On Me, at Mo*vida nightclub last night.

And if you can forget her Out of Your Mind duet with Dane Bowers, you’ll realise that it’s not bad at all, with her cool-sounding vocals looping over a catchy dance track.

But as Dash - who was showing off the track at the launch of his new range or Tiret (his own brand) watches - told us: “Anyone can sound good in the studio. It’s how you sound live that matters.”

Of his musical partnership with Posh, he added: “We’re not really working together now, but it was fun making the tracks.”

Damon, who’s plugging new star Alice Smith, claims his real skill lies as an entrepreneur and talent-spotter. “I’m a hustler and a businessman,” he said. “I’m not good at anything, but I can make you famous!”

Lily slams Perez's "bullying tirade"

Lily Allen and American showbiz web giant Perez Hilton were at war today after the singer hit out at the gay bloggers' “tirade” against her.

The Smile star branded Perez, real name Mario Armando Lavandeira, a “bully” and admitted she was hurt after he said she was better known as a “train wreck” than a musician.

The 23-year-old was responding on her MySpace blog to Perez’s accusations that she was upset at being “shoved aside” by Capitol Records so they could focus on new US singer Katy Perry.

He wrote: “Lily used to be Capital Records’ “golden girl” but lately she’s just been slipping. She’s known more these days for being a train wreck than a musician. She knows it too. That must hurt.

“Lily is peeved at Capitol. She feels like they’ve shoved her aside to focus their energies on their new girl of the moment, Katy Perry.”

Perez, 30, who has compared Allen to a picture of a pink-haired troll on his website, also said the company had replaced a photo of her in its reception with Perry. He went on to describe Lily as “washed up goods” whose new material was sure to “suck”.

But Allen, who is in LA recording material for her new album, was quick to respond to the attack which she claimed has been going on for months.

She told fans in her latest blog entry: “I’m a little upset today. Perez Hilton is a mean man. I don’t know what I did to pi** him off but the last few months he has launched a bit of a tirade against me.

The Fail Blog: the best new website around

Sometimes I can't tell if I've blown more brain cells than most people my age (writing about Brit's breasts is taxing sometimes), or whether I'm just really easily amused.

Nah, scratch that, this new blog is the most genius thing I've seen on the web in an age!

I haven't laughed this hard since the dramatic reading of a real break up letter.

Entitled The Fail Blog the genius who runs the blog takes pics that he/she finds and scrawls a massive FAIL all over the shot. Doesn't sound funny? Well it really is. Here are a few of my faves, but you should really check out the whole blog.

Pee & Poo Shop

Recently a few of my pals have either dropped babies (and by that I mean given birth), or they have become preggers. Lovely! Spread the seed I say. But this of course leads to me wondering what to buy the kid.

Personally I love little all in one baby grows / sleep suits and teeny, tiny Vans and Converse. What I don't love is this baby outfit (right).

Looks normal and cute right? Until you realise it's actually a poop and a splodge of pee. And that's not all you can buy at the Pee & Poo Shop.

Check out these poop and pee keychains! Generally I'm highly amused by bodily functions and gross stuff, but I really cannot imagine dressing my bundle of joy in a pair of pants with a great big turd on the front.
