Martha Stewart's puppy blown up
US TV domestic goddess Martha Stewart's pet puppy has been killed in a gas explosion.
Ghenghis Khan - as the late mutt was called - was one of 17 dogs blown up when a propane tank exploded at Pazzazz Pet Boarding kennel in the Pocono Mountains, Pennsylvania.
The explosion happened when the tank ignited during a propane delivery, setting several pens on fire.
The driver of the truck was badly burned and is in a stable condition in hospital.
Officials say a spark or static electricity may have started the blaze.
Stewart says on her blog that she is "deeply saddened" by the death of her pet, and hopes for a speedy recovery for the surviving dogs and the driver. She also says her "heart goes out" to the kennel owner.
