Michael Jackson 'stroked' Peaches

Peaches-250

PEACHES Geldof has told  how she was "stroked" by Michael Jackson  while on a trip to Disneyland with her family  aged eight.

Speaking on ITV2 television show Celebrity Juice the 19-year-old daughter of Sir Bob Geldof said she even had “photos to prove it”.

Host Keith Lemon  - aka comic Leigh Francis  -  had asked the party girl, who was standing in for regular team captain Fearne Cotton, if she had ever met the 50-year-old King of Pop.

The student socialite and broadcaster said she met him on while visiting Disneyland 11 years ago.

She said: "I was eight years old. We were all hanging out there, and somehow, for some reason, Michael Jackson was there doing some sort of promotional thing and he invited a load of kids who were staying in the Disney hotel, to come meet him.

"He was in this one room, and we went in and I was really excited and he was sitting on a huge throne at the end of the hall, flanked by Mickey and Goofy.

"The image is burned in my mind of him there, just like 'come closer', and I went and I sat on his lap and then he proceeded to stroke me and whisper in my ear a little bit.

"I've got photos to prove it. I've been stroked by Michael Jackson."

The story shocked guests, including opposing team captain Holly Willoughby, into silence.

Comic Andrew Maxwell came to the rescue, saying: “I don’t think there’s a joke I can make about that!”

Election night TV: who won in the battle of the box?

IT wasn't just a battle for votes, but a battle for viewers last night as the major broadcasters wheeled out the big guns.

Wiliam And there were no guns bigger than CNN's - well, less guns, more "beam me up Scotty" lasers.

The US channel's "super power hologram" saw roaming reporters and celeb supporters "zapped in" live to the TV studios.

Minutes before polls closed, in whizzed Black Eyed Peas star and Obama fan Wil.I.Am, Princess Leia-style, replete with jaunty fedora from his Chicago location to chat about the impending victory with anchor Anderson Cooper.

It looked like magic - even if Cooper looked bamboozled - and definitely trumped all rivals for sheer razzmatazz.

Brangelina under fire

Brangelina Brangelina has come in for a volley of abuse in a storm that kicked off over who to support in the US presidential elections.

Brad has been dubbed ‘vacuous’ and Angelia declared the 'evil spawn' of her actor dad Jon Voight. He also gets attacked - being described as “a frightened little girl in a pink ballet tutu”.

It’s pretty heavy stuff and the women behind it is American comedian Roseanne Barr – star of 1990s sitcom Roseanne.

The insults flew in a blog entry Barr made after Voight publicly declared his support for Republican candidate John McCain.

“Do you know that the African daughter you hold in every picture had parents who suffered and died because of the Republican party’s worldwide economic assault on Africa over the last few decades?” she wrote, in a reference to the actress’s adopted child Zahara from Ethiopia.  Roseanne

Barack Obama supporter Barr, 55, went on to accuse Brangelina of making about $40 million a year starring in “violent psychopathic movies” and “trying to look as if they give a crap about humanity”.

Voight has since hit back at the comedian, reportedly labelling her a "psychopathic liar" and "sick of mind".

Perhaps this prompted a fresh posting by Barr, containing an apology of sorts.

Bully Alex kicked off Big Brother for gangster threats

Alextodiaryroom_2Bully Alexandra De-Gale has been kicked out of the Big Brother house after threatening to set “gangster friends” on rival contestants and their families.

The Londoner, who was favourite to be evicted in this week’s public vote, intimidated housemates with gun noises and claimed to have a “very strong team” who would have some “instructions to follow out”.

Senior staff at Channel 4 removed the 23-year-old accounts executive from the set last night after reviewing the shocking remarks  which were made on Tuesday evening. This picture shows her being called to the diary room before being escorted from the house.

The single mother from Croydon in south London made the threats during a discussion with Darnell Swallow in the living room as a number of other housemates were in earshot.

Referring to the fact she had been nominated, she said: “I’m not throwing water at anyone. It’s bigger than that…personal offence is never forgotten, do you know what I mean?

“We are just inside the house. I’ve got a very, very, very, very, very strong team outside the house.”

She added: “I just can’t wait to see my mans and them and see what their plans are, who they got…I’m not talking about those mans, I’m talking about my gangster friends. They got some instructions to follow out.”

And later on Alex, who bookies have described as the most hated housemate in the history of the reality show, said: “I get to go out, see everyone’s friends, I get to see their family. I get to do the s*** that I wanna do. Pow, pow, pow.”

Hats come out for Ascot

AscotRacegoers and fashion fans alike today flocked to the first day of the annual Royal Ascot race meeting.

For the first time the prize money on offer to jockeys over the course of the five-day meet in Berkshire has reached £4 million.

But those betting on the outcome are likely spend at least half as much on champagne. Last year 170,000 bottles were bought by thirsty punters at a cost of just under £2 million.

They also managed to consume 10,000 lobsters, 5,000 oysters and 18,000 punnets of strawberries in between races.

The Queen and members of the Royal Family will join thousands of racing fans on each day of the event.

Those privileged enough to be in the Royal Enclosure, which maintains a famously strict admittance policy, will have to keep their eye on their outfit this year.

After confusion over the definition of "formal day dress" in 2007 the Ascot authorities have reworded the dress code for women.
