ESTELLE is nominated for best pop act at the annual South Bank Show Awards - while the sell-out Donmar Warehouse production of Othello starring Ewan McGregor is up for best theatre of the year.
The yearly awards, run by ITV1's acclaimed South Bank Show arts series, also see Gavin and Stacey nominated for best comedy programme, Tate Britain's blockbuster Peter Doig exhibition shortlisted for best visual arts of 2008 and In Bruges, starring Colin Farrell , as a contender for film of the year.
The ceremony is held at the Dorchester Hotel on 20 January, with Melvyn Bragg hosting.
