Madonna finds herself in a sticky spot

Madonnacutoutgood MADONNA’S tour team felt her wrath last night after her Nice show was hit by technical faults.

The superstar singer took her Sticky and Sweet tour to France for the Nice leg.

But while her performance, in front of some of her A-list friends, was to its usual high standards, there were several problems with the massive screens brought in for the multi-million pound show, causing them to go blank during several songs.

According to sources, this sent Madonna into “meltdown”.

Madonna sets very high standards for herself and for those working around her, so when things go wrong she gets annoyed,” an insider told theBuzz.

“With so many friends in the audience it was doubly annoying for her.”

Fortunately, the celebrity crowd didn’t seem to mind.

U2’s Bono
, carrying cigars in his top pocket, danced along with a group of friends and David and Victoria Beckham, who flew into France especially for the show, were all smiles.

One-time critic Elton John and husband David Furnish cheered enthusiastically from their VIP seats.

Still, we pity the poor technician who was eventually found responsible for that huge gaffe.

At the end of her show Madge headed back to the impossibly grand chateau in Saint Jeannet booked for her while she is in the south of France.

At least she’ll be able to sleep off her disappointment in luxury...
