Eva Mendes' nip shot prompts ad ban
A shot of Eva Mendes’ nipple has prompted outrage across America and caused a new perfume advert for Calvin Klein to be banned.
In the black and white promotion for new fragrance Secret Obsession the actress is seen writhing around naked in an unmade bed.
But the 30-second clip has been deemed too racy for the US TV because it shows a brief glimpse of Eva’s nipple.
At one point the 34-year-old rolls over caressing herself and giving viewers a quick glance of her bare chest.
Meanwhile she is whispering breathlessly: “Between love and madness lies obsession. Love…madness. It’s my secret.”
But defiant bosses at Calvin Klein have posted the advert on their website under the headline ‘Eva Mendes banned advert’.
Tom Murry, president and chief operating officer for the company said: “We believe the commercial is exceptional and hits the mark for Secret Obsession. We will reach our consumers in the US primarily through the website, the print campaign and at point of sale.”
