The 59-year-old star of Mamma Mia! is amazed that beauty fascism is effecting everyone.
She said: "You'd be amazed how many men in the industry have gone down that road. I don't get it. I think you have to embrace getting older and celebrate life."
She also told Good Housekeeping magazine that she was getting more film roles now she was 'maturing.'
"You're no longer asked to be the beautiful leading lady," said The Devil Wears Prada actress. "You're allowed to different things and I've had some very interetsing parts over the last few years."
