Avril moves into movies

Avril Lavigne is to take her skills to the big screen in a forthcoming movie role, we can reveal.

The Sk8er Boi star, 23, who performed at The O2 last night, told theBuzz: “I’ve got a film role coming up – something you wouldn’t expect from me, something deep and dark.”

Chatting at the San Disk after party at The O2’s Gaucho eaterie, she was tight-lipped about her marriage to Sum 41 star Deryck Whibley.

But earlier, she told the crowd: “Are there any girls who wear the pants in their relationship? I certainly do!”
