Only 50 people queued for Posh Harrods signing

Posh Spice hit Harrods yesterday in an attempt to shift some of her designer dVb jeans range - but embarrassingly, barely anyone turned up.

Thelondonpaper joined the queue after snapping up a white vest for £65 and managed to grab a few words with Victoria Beckham.

The so-called 'style icon' may have been disappointed with the turn out, just 50 people queued for two hours to have items from DVB range signed, but she was in good spirits as she joked how good our male reporter would look in one of her slinky vest tops.

Asked about notorious party girl Paris Hilton, who is staying at the Dorchester Hotel in Park Lane as well, she said they had no plans to meet up.

Beckham said: “I met her a long time ago and haven’t seen her since. No I won’t be going for drink with her.

“I’m having dinner with my mum and dad tonight and then getting an early night.”

Posh was met with screams from a small group of fans who then decamped to the Dorchester in the hope of catching another glimpse of their idol.

Early the Spice Girls star joked as she greeted fans at the signing “I’m holding a microphone but don’t worry I’m not going to sing so there is no need to look nervous”.

She also met some of Harrods executive clients to offer exclusive private style tips before appearing amid heavy security to sign books, poster and clothes and pose for a few pictures.
