Winehouses's big night out
Just hours after being voted the ultimate heroine by UK youngsters, Amy Winehouse was back to her hair-raising ways with a chaotic eight hours of drinking, head-butting, and all round big night out.
The You Know I’m No Good star began at 8.30pm at the Good Mixer pub in Camden, where she drank and played pool with musicians from Babyshambles, including guitarist Mick Whitnall
After popping home to change, Amy’s next stop was Bartok in Chalk Farm, where the 24-year-old got herself into a bit of bother, and lashed out at a guy bothering her.
An onlooker said: “She was laughing and joking with everyone, but then she suddenly head-butted this lad really hard and punched him. Her friends rushed to her side and dragged her away.”
Heading home in a cab at 3am, it looked like the singer’s night was over, until she stopped for sweets, cigarettes and papers.
Amy then staggered into the shop, got her supplies and appeared to leave without paying when a cashier was nowhere to be seen.
And clearly having too much fun to concentrate, Amy walked straight into a lamppost – luckily she was able to see the funny side.
Finally, arriving home at 4am, Amy was left standing in the cold because she’d left her cash and keys with a friend. Of course, that didn’t stop her trying to squeeze under the garage door…
Fortunately, a friend soon appeared with Amy’s house keys. The cab driver was then left to plead for his £40 fare – after being invited into Amy’s home, he left with only £20.
