Celine Dion's outrageous London gig demands
Celine Dion has submitted a titanic list of demands ahead of her upcoming gigs at The O2 in London next month.
The Canadian diva whose number one hits include My Heart Will Go On and Think Twice has given staff a list of requests that includes Bavarian figs, cherries from France and crisps without the crinkles.
But it seems Dion the Diva doesn't give two figs about her carbon footprint - more after the jump...
You would think with all the air miles the singer has notched up flying around the globe for her world tour she would be keen to reduce her carbon footprint.
But a source said: “Celine has asked for a lot of fruit to be provided but has shunned local produce in favour of foods from other countries.”
Her rider also includes a special request to have someone especially assigned to help her get dressed.
One insider said: “Most artists do have their own personal assistant to help them out but Celine has requested a designated wardrobe aide whose sole job will be to help her in and out of her dresses.
“Her costumes are always spectacular and elaborate especially if the outfits she has been wearing for her recent concerts are anything to go by.
“They are quite delicate with a lot of detail and she will want to make sure she can make quick changes without damaging them.”
The 40-year-old pop star - whose performances are renowned for their stunning stage set-ups and special effects - has been touring in South Africa, Japan, Australia and Korea as part of her Taking Chances World Tour 2008.
She will kick off the European leg of concerts in Manchester before performing at The O2 in Greenwich on 6 and 8 May.
Here she is doing some Tina Turner River Deep... in Sydney earlier this month.
