MAKE big girls feel beautiful – that was the message from The Gossip’s lead singer Beth Ditto to all gay men.
On a recent shopping trip to Oxford Street, the extroverted star wasn’t best pleased to see a camp guy putting down his sizeable female friend in H&M.
Recalling being a “chubbo girl” at school and standing up for her “best gay boyfriend”, Ditto was disgusted to hear the guy shout out: “You can’t wear that!”
She later wrote on her MySpace page: “If you’re out there, gay boys, tell that fat girl following you around, laughing at all your jokes that you think she’s beautiful!
“Tell her she’s fat and beautiful, and she’ll think sweet about you well into her 20’s...eternal.”
