Agy Deyn’ll do as a hero

KevintachmanwennNot content with being a style goddess, model Agyness Deyn is to try her hand at singing with the release of a new single.

The former chip-shop girl has teamed up with nu-wave band Five O’Clock Heroes for a new track called Who.

AgyThe odd pairing came about after Agyness, 25, heard a demo by the New York-based group on a night out with lead singer Antony Ellis. The single will be released on 23 June.

Stunning Agy also features in the video for the single – along with her breathy northern accent on vocals.

According to the band’s MySpace page, their “sole intention is to give people a memorable tune”.

Well, with an international model on board, it is set to be memorable indeed. Agy’s boyfriend Josh Hubbard from The Paddingtons is setting up their independent record label. Maybe his leggy girlfriend will be the first they sign?

Agy, a former drama and music student, has wanted to expand her repertoire away from modelling. She continues to receive loads of offers, including TV presenting for music and reality shows.
