Gnarls Barkley banned from MTV

A Gnarls Barkley video featuring Justin Timberlake has been banned from MTV amid fears it could trigger epileptic seizures.

What do you think?

The film footage for single Run has strobe-like effects and failed to pass the music channel’s Harding Test which judges whether TV images could affect epileptics.

One half of the Grammy-winning hip hop soul collaboration, New York producer Danger Mouse said: “I don’t know exactly what is going on but we’re having issues. I think the video is cool. It works for me. But I’m not necessarily that easily seasick.”

Gnarls Barkley - whose hit Crazy made pop history as the UK’s first number one song based on download sales alone - are to release their new album The Odd Couple on 8 April in the US.

I'm no neuroscientist but I think the effect that they're worried about is sometimes referred to as a 'publicity stunt.'
