Boosh booze up
New Year’s Eve in The Hawley Arms was always going to be a late one despite the absence of its best customer, Amy Winehouse. And for the cognoscenti, there was a secret late-night party upstairs, but
throwing shapes among the trendy types, theBuzz hears, were the unlikely figures of former boybanders Jason “J” Brown and Ritchie Neville from the group 5ive.
The pair got down to party with The Mighty Boosh’s Noel Fielding and Julian Barratt, who were at the Camden hostelry with their girlfriends Dee and Julia. “They stood out a bit, perhaps they’re headed in a new direction,” a partygoer tells theBuzz. “But they were getting into the party, buying loads of champagne for a group of girls.”
Meanwhile, one Hawley regular was noticeably absent, Razorlight singer Johnny Borrell. TheBuzz hears he was spotted on Parliament Hill watching fireworks in an unlikely threesome with Annie Lennox and Brian Eno.
