He might be one of the highest-paid DJs in the world, but it seems Mark Ronson could take some disc-
spinning tips from his sister Sam. The super-producer stopped by Chinawhite last night to check out his sister’s skills behind the decks. All was going swimmingly until Mark decided to get up and have a go.
Perhaps getting a bit over-excited to be playing for such a packed crowd, he appeared to forget to press the play button at the end of one of the tracks. Cue 30 seconds of silence in the packed club.
Much fumbling later and a lit
tle help from his sister and the next track came on.
“The crowd were cheering,” an onlooker tells theBuzz. “Mark was very good-humoured about it all.
“With a red face he put his hands up as if he was saying ‘my fault’.”
Mark, who did manage a fault-free performance at the launch party for DKNY fragrance Delicious Night earlier in the evening, later won the capacity crowd’s favour back by throwing on his latest track Valerie which he worked on with Amy Winehouse, before letting Sam get back to her storming set.
Unfortunately, the rumours that Sam’s close friend Lindsay Lohan would fly over from LA and make an appearance proved to be false. theBuzz was very disappointed, if only because we had planned to make a childish joke concerning the star and the club night being called F*** Rehab.
